So we settled a case involving a young woman who was visiting an amusement park in Orange County, and she was using a rock climbing wall. The amusement park had a poorly trained brand new young man in his teens who was responsible for taking care of our our client and he put her into the harness but did not strap the safety harness to the rope. Our client climbed to the top of the rock wall, got to the very top, looked down at her family, and then, as most people do, held her arms up and fell back. She fell 40 ft seriously injuring her spine and her leg. We were able to litigate this case for more than two years the defense held a lot of information from us try to get us from getting a lot of information, but at the end of the day we were able to settle this case for $8 million for that client.
